Dr. Renata Burigatto, MD is a Family Medicine Hospitalist at Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital with a diverse background in inpatient and outpatient medicine. She earned her medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family and Community Medicine at Jefferson Health. She served as a hospitalist at Jefferson Health before she transitioned to the outpatient sector where she helped launch Jefferson Primary Care Family Medicine at the Navy Yard. Dr. Burigatto later founded Proactive Integrative Wellness which was a medical practice tailored to women’s health. After COVID, she was drawn back to hospital medicine where she now works as an adult hospitalist, completed a tenure as the Operational Lead for the hospitalist group, currently serves as the Secretary for the Department of Medicine, chairs the Cardiovascular Section for the hospitalist team and is the Inpatient Director for the Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Burigatto’s professional interests include developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, and advancing cardiovascular and heart failure care for hospitalized patients. She has designed and implemented transitional care programs in this regard. She is a recipient of the 2024 CCH Evidence-Based Practice Award.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Burigatto enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, staying active in adult sports, and being closely involved in her community.
