We are a longstanding community-based program accepting two fellows for the ‘25-26 application season. Established in 1997 in the Crozer-Health system, and upon their closure, we have changed sponsoring institutions to Penn Medicine at Chester County.
This program provides a well-rounded experience in the field of Sports Medicine. We offer a high-volume learning experience within the offices of Premier Orthopedics, with an abundance of hands-on ultrasound use and guided procedures. Your continuity clinic will be in the sports medicine office at the University of Delaware under the guidance of their lead team physician, Dr Andrew Reisman.
The program additionally offers robust coverage opportunities. You will cover division 1 football with the University of Delaware, various division 3 opportunities at Swarthmore college, you will manage your own high school training room as well as cover high school football locally. If that’s not enough, you will also be working with the Philadelphia Union and their minor league affiliate the Union II. The Union’s team Osteopath, Dr. Matthew Costa is our assistant program director, providing training room opportunities. Dr. David Webner, a past program director of this program, will be among the team physicians of the Union with whom you will be covering games at Subaru Park, go Union!
Located in the greater Philadelphia region, the food and culture locally are unmatched. A majority of rotations take place in Delaware County, a short drive from Center City Philadelphia.
We are excited to have your interest and please do not hesitate to reach out for additional information on the program.
Sincerely,
David M. Baxter, DO
