Penn Radiology research track resident research interests and backgrounds span the gamut. A formal MD/PhD is NOT a requirement for applying; we are excited to welcome anyone with an interest in research. While some of our research track residents completed traditional MD/PhD programs, others were involved in research during their undergraduate or medical education. Some residents pursue basic science benchtop research, others translational in vivo animal studies, and still others clinical and operational research. There is practically no research interest that cannot be accommodated!
