Longitudinal Assignments and Projects

  • Committees: members of P&T and other committees based on interest
  • Formulary project: prepare and present a drug monograph, formulary class review, and/or guideline to P&T
  • Research
    • Medication use evaluation
    • Longitudinal research project
    • Presentation of research at Vizient Pharmacy Conference/ASHP Midyear and Eastern States Pharmacy Conference
  • Adverse drug reaction reporting
  • Staffing: requirements are every 3rd weekend, one evening shift every 3rd week, and 1 admission medication reconciliation evening shift every 3rd week
  • Teaching
    • Participate in the Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy Teaching and Learning Certificate program
    • Precepting: precept an IPPE student in the spring in addition to co-precepting APPE students with clinical preceptors
    • Continuing education: present an ACPE-accredited CE presentation at Penn Medicine Pharmacy Grand Rounds
    • In-service: present an in-service to nursing staff
    • Formal didactic opportunities at school of pharmacy based on resident interest and faculty preceptor need
