Pharmacy School: University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2025

Dr. Joy Cao is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2025. She is originally from New Jersey and lived in Pittsburgh, PA throughout undergraduate and pharmacy school. Her current clinical interest is in infectious diseases and academia. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys photography, baking, hiking, and exploring new places. A fun fact about Joy is that she loves traveling and has visited 18 US National Parks so far.

Pharmacy School: University of Florida, Class of 2025

Dr. Alexandra Chizmar is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, Class of 2025. She is originally from St. Augustine, Florida, and received her bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences from the University of Florida in 2021. Alexandra's professional interests include critical care, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys running on the Schuylkill River Trail, going on long walks with her 2 dogs and husband, finding fun places to eat in the Philly area, and traveling.

Dr. Leila Victoria Dabalos is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Class of 2025 and is originally from Baltimore County, MD. Her current clinical interests include cardiology and solid organ transplant. Outside of pharmacy, Leila enjoys baking, taking care of her many plants, building botanical Legos, and watching Baltimore sports! Leila is looking forward to exploring all the happy hour options Philly has to offer with her amazingly cool new co-residents.

Dr. Shaleen Ghosh is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill, NC. She is originally from Akron, OH and received her bachelor’s degree in biology from The Ohio State University. Her professional interests include ambulatory care, internal medicine, and cardiology. Outside of pharmacy, Shaleen enjoys being active outdoors, reading, and being disappointed by Cleveland sports. She is looking forward to exploring the food scene in Philly and getting to know the city!

Dr. Mary Kopchick is a graduate of the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, Class of 2025. She is originally from Mullica Hill, NJ. Her professional interests include oncology, critical care, and infectious diseases. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys running, cooking, playing games, and exploring new coffee shops.

Pharmacy School: Wilkes University, Class of 2025

Dr. Megan Makovsky is a graduate of Wilkes University’s Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, Class of 2025. She is originally from Fleetwood, PA and is new to the city of Philadelphia. Megan’s professional interests include pharmacy administration, medication safety, ambulatory care, and academia. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys trying out new coffee and ice cream places, going to concerts, and sitting on the beach (specifically Midway Beach in Jersey).

Dr. Amanda Northup is a graduate of Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Class of 2025. She is originally from Rochester, NY. Her professional interest is primarily internal medicine. Outside of pharmacy, Amanda enjoys hanging out with friends, going out to eat, traveling, skiing and playing volleyball. A fun fact is she is looking to adopt a cat soon!

Dr. Bhoomi Parikh is a class of 2025 graduate of UNC ESOP in Chapel Hill, NC. She is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2020. Her professional interests include emergency medicine, trauma, and critical care. Outside of pharmacy, Bhoomi enjoys exploring all the great food around Philadelphia, cheering for Minnesota sports teams (and now Philly too), and going on hikes, especially in the fall!

Dr. Michael Roney is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2025. He is originally from Springfield, Pennsylvania. His current professional interests include Oncology and Critical Care and is excited to further develop his skills as a pharmacist through residency at HUP! Outside of pharmacy he enjoys playing golf, rooting on Philly sports teams, and spending time with friends and family!

Dr. Chi Truong is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Pharmacy, Class of 2025. She is from Seattle, Washington, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Washington. Her professional interests include solid organ transplants and critical care. Outside of pharmacy, Chi enjoys trying different cooking recipes, exploring new dessert spots, and traveling. This is her first time living outside of Seattle, and she's excited to experience everything the East Coast has to offer.

Dr. Michael Akon is a graduate of University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy in South Kingston, RI, Class of 2024. He is originally from Lowell, MA. He completed his PGY1 pharmacy residency at Henry Ford Health. His professional interests include hematologic malignancies and cellular therapies. Outside of pharmacy, Mike enjoys going to the gym, trying new foods, and exploring the city.

Dr. Abby Rose Broomfield is a graduate of LECOM in Bradenton, FL, Class of 2024. She is originally from Rochester, NY and received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Rochester in 2020. Her professional interests include toxicology, emergency medicine, and trauma as she practiced in EMS throughout college. Outside of pharmacy, Abby enjoys everything sports, especially football and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as spending time with her two cats. She is looking forward to exploring the city of Philly and winning bar trivia with her co-residents!

Dr. Temple Coldren is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024. He is originally from Coopersburg, PA. He completed his PGY1 pharmacy residency at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. His professional interests include substance use disorders, pain management, palliative care, and behavioral health. Outside of pharmacy, Temple enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing disc golf, traveling, trivia, and trying new restaurants.

Dr. Luor Doeibis is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA, Class of 2024. Originally from Jordan, she received her bachelor's degree in allied health from Immaculata University in 2021 and completed her PGY-1 residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. Her professional interests include cellular immunotherapy, hematology and pharmacogenomics. Outside of residency, Luor loves painting, trying new restaurants, and traveling!

Dr. LeAnn Harward is a graduate from Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, Class of 2024. She is originally from North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her bachelor's degree in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry in 2020. Her current clinical interests include critical care/emergency medicine, internal medicine, anticoagulation, and academia. Outside of pharmacy, LeAnn enjoys going on long walks with her puppy and fiancé, trying new coffee shops, and traveling. One of LeAnn’s favorite travel memories is learning how to make homemade pasta in the Italian countryside!

Dr. Anthony Liang is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Class of 2023. He is originally from Brooklyn, New York. His professional interests include anticoagulation and thrombosis and critical care. Outside residency, he enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and going to comedy/music events. He also enjoys watching basketball and is a big New York Knicks fan.

Dr. Francesca Reilly is a graduate of Temple University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024. She is originally from Williamstown, NJ and completed her PGY1 at the VA Tennessee Valley in Nashville, TN. Her professional interests include women's health, primary care/family medicine, and diabetes management. Outside of pharmacy, Francesca enjoys listening to podcasts, going to the beach, and watching reality TV. Her other hobbies include wedding planning and spending time with her family and friends.

Pharmacy School: University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Class of 2024

Dr. Emmanuel Rodriguez is a graduate from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Class of 2024. He also completed his Master's in Business Administration from the University of North Texas in 2017. Originally from Odessa, TX, Emmanuel's professional interests include infectious diseases and emergency medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys playing video games, attending local concerts, and spending time with his dog, Falco. This is his first time residing outside the state of Texas, and he is looking forward to the new opportunities that the northeast has to offer.

Dr. Gillian Steiger is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024. She is originally from Long Island, New York. Her professional clinical interests primarily include critical care and internal medicine. She also has interests in solid organ transplant and oncology. She is excited to further develop her skills and become a well-rounded, independent pharmacist through the completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at HUP. Outside of pharmacy, Gillian enjoys working out, being outdoors, and spending time with her two cats Salem and Pumpkin.

Dr. Anna Wszeborowska is a graduate from Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, Class of 2024. She is originally from Kinnelon, NJ where she completed her PGY-1 residency close to home at The Valley Hospital. Her current practice interests include hematological malignancies and pharmacogenomics. Outside of residency, Anna loves trying out new restaurants and hanging out with her kitten, Henry. A fun fact is that Anna is a hot dog connoisseur and is on the hunt for the best one in every new city she goes to!
