The OBGYN Strategic Plan Data Science Initiative supports access to research-ready databases developed and maintained by the department. Our updated request process helps manage volume, prioritize departmental needs, and ensure all OBGYN-managed data requests are reviewed before work begins.
Request Types & Submission Pathways
Funded & Priority Requests
Includes funded projects, grant submissions, departmental initiatives, and priority publications:
- Submit the OBGYN Data Science Request Form
- Requests are reviewed by the OBGYN Research Intake Team
- Decisions are typically communicated to requestors within 30 days, depending on request volume
- Approved requests are sent to the OBGYN informatician for implementation
Small Data Requests
For funded smaller-scale requests:
- Submit requests through the Penn DnA (Data & Analytics) Intake Form
- These requests follow a separate Penn DnA review process
Unfunded Data Requests
- PSOM cores currently support funded projects only
- Departmental resources for unfunded requests are limited
- Unfunded requests may be considered on an ad hoc basis
