About Dr. Alejo

Dr. Alejo received her undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University, where she met her incredibly loving and supportive husband, Sid. She received her medical degree from the University of Virginia. She completed three years of junior residency at Wake Forest, followed by two years of post-doctoral research fellowship studying COVID-19 vaccine outcomes in transplant recipients at Johns Hopkins. She then completed her General Surgery training at NYU in Manhattan. Jen is an aspiring surgeon-scientist with a goal of building an academic surgical practice after fellowship.
