Are you a current ICU nurse considering a career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)? The CRNA Shadow Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) offers a unique opportunity to experience a “day in the life” of a CRNA.
Program Overview
This one-day shadowing experience is designed for ICU Registered Nurses who are actively preparing to apply to CRNA school. Participants will observe clinical practice, gain insight into the CRNA role, and engage with experienced professionals in the field.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a current ICU RN at HUP or PPMC
- Minimum of one year of ICU experience
- Clear intention to apply to CRNA school

Requirements
- Applicants must provide proof of vaccination history (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, flu, and hepatitis B).
- All participants must comply with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
- This is a one-day shadowing experience.
