Nishaminy Kasbekar, BS, PharmD, FASHP
Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer

Nishaminy Kasbekar is the Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer for the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy and her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. She then completed an ASHP residency in Pharmacy Practice and a Specialty Residency in Infectious Diseases at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Kasbekar began her career as a Clinical Specialist in Infectious Diseases at Penn Presbyterian and then moved to the following leadership positions, Director of Pharmacy, System Director of Pharmacy for UPHS, Chief Pharmacy Officer for Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and now Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer for UPHS.
Dr. Kasbekar has practiced and had many roles in various areas of pharmacy practices. She has contributed to a number of publications, presented at national conferences and received numerous recognitions most notably the PSHP Sister Gonzales Duffy Lecture Award (2016), PSHP Pharmacist of the Year (2014), Philadelphia Business Journal’s Top 40 individuals under the age of 40, ASHP Best Practice Award, Pennsylvania Health System Pharmacists - Joe E Smith Award, Delaware Valley Society of Health Systems Pharmacists –Jonathan Roberts Award, University of the Sciences Young Alumnus Award and placed in the American Druggist’s List of Top 50 Most Influential Pharmacists.
Dr. Kasbekar is a past President of ASHP (American Society of Health-System Pharmacists).” She is also a Past President of the PPA Educational Foundation, Past Chair of the Vizient Practice Advancement Committee and ASHP Council on Pharmacy Practice. She is a Past President of the Pennsylvania Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and Delaware Valley Society of Health Systems Pharmacists. She is also a Fellow of ASHP and has represented Pennsylvania in the ASHP House of Delegates for eight years. In addition, she was the Chair of the Section Advisory Group for ASHP Multi-Hospital and Health Systems and was a Steering Committee Member on the ASHP Women in Leadership Initiative.
Her passion for advancing pharmacy practice is evident in her daily interactions with providers, pharmacists and students.
Justin Kuratnick, PharmD, MS

Justin is Director of Professional Practice. Dr. Kuratnick received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University and his Masters of Medical Informatics from Northwestern University.
His primary focus for the past two years has been leading the standardization of pharmacy workflows, hospital formularies, clinical medication build, order set design, decision support, clinical monitoring, and antimicrobial stewardship with Subject Matter Experts across the University of Pennsylvania Healthcare System in preparation for the implementation of inpatient Epic. Areas of interest include performance improvement, informatics, innovative ways to utilize technology to increase patient safety and satisfaction, student and residency education and training in informatics.
Natalie Goode, PharmD, BCACP

Natalie Goode, PharmD, BCACP is the Clinical Coordinator of Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Services and the current PGY-1 Residency Program Director at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Iowa. She completed her post-graduate residency training at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in 2017.
Dr. Goode began her career as a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care covering Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, and Family Medicine over five years of clinical practice. She then moved to her current role as Clinical Coordinator and provides oversight of PPMC’s growing pharmacy footprint in ambulatory clinical practice in addition to overseeing the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program. Natalie currently serves on the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Council on Pharmacy Practice (CPhP) and as Secretary of the New Jersey Society of Health-System Pharmacists (NJSHP).
Demi Tran, PharmD, BCPS

Demi is Associate Director of Pharmacy Operations. She came to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with twenty years of hospital pharmacy experience. She combines a solid clinical knowledge base with a management style that allows her to relate to all staff members. Over the course of her career, Demi has held a variety of pharmacy department leadership positions including clinical coordinator, supervisor, manager, and director. In addition, she has served as the program director for two ASHP accredited residency programs. To date, she has overseen the successful education of nearly twenty PGY1 residents.
Demi has made numerous oral and poster presentations at national, state, and local pharmacy gatherings. She has been recognized by organizations such as the Hospital and Health-System Association of Pennsylvania, the Delaware Valley Healthcare Council, Mercy Health System, and Nazareth Hospital for both her clinical and leadership qualities.

Diane Kim, PharmD, BCACP

Diane Kim, PharmD, BCACP is a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC). She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at Rutgers University. Kassidy Baum, PharmD

Kassidy Baum, PharmD is a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC). She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Rutgers University in 2021. Dr. Baum started working at PPMC in August 2023 and practices primarily in Endocrinology. Her professional interests include chronic disease state management, transitions of care, and teaching.
Lazina Chowdhury, PharmD

Lazina Chowdhury, PharmD is a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC). In 2021, she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Temple University School of Pharmacy. Upon graduation, she completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency training at PPMC, after which she accepted her current position.
Dr. Chowdhury started working at PPMC in June 2022 in Family Medicine clinics with a focus in HIV, viral hepatitis, addiction medicine, LGBTQ+ health, and chronic disease state management. Her current role aligns with her professional interest in managing a broad spectrum of disease states as well as patient advocacy. She is passionate about helping patients obtain medication access, one patient at a time.

Jasmine Delk, PharmD graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in 2020. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in New Orleans, LA in 2021. Prior to this position, she completed a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA with a concentration in underserved care and global health.
Dr. Delk currently works as a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care in Family Medicine. Her professional interests include providing care to underserved populations, identifying social determinants of health, and the role of pharmacists in resource-limited settings.

Dr. Familusi joined Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in August 2022 as a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care with a focus in Hematology/Oncology. Her professional interests include academia, medication adherence and patient advocacy.

Amy Fariello, PharmD graduated from Temple University School of Pharmacy in 2021. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, NJ in 2022 and started her clinical practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Fariello joined Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in January 2023 as a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care supporting multiple specialties at our Penn Medicine Cherry Hill Location. Her professional interests include teaching and transitions of care.

Claudia Ortiz-López, PharmD, graduated from UNC Eshleman School of Pharmacy, in Chapel Hill, NC in 2019. She completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC in 2020 and her PGY-2 in Pediatric Pharmacy in St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, FL in 2021. Before joining Penn Pharmacy, Dr. Ortiz-López was a pediatric ambulatory care pharmacist in Yale New Haven Health, with a focus in pediatric rheumatology and gastroenterology.
Dr. Ortiz-López joined the Penn Ambulatory Care team in July 2024 as a clinical pharmacist. She covers gastroenterology, with a focus on IBD, and dermatology.

Stela Papa, PharmD is a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 2004 and completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at the VA Boston Healthcare System in Boston, MA in 2005. After training, Dr. Papa worked as a Clinical Pharmacist in the inpatient setting caring for Cardiology patients and teaching future pharmacists.
Dr. Papa transitioned to the ambulatory care team in January 2024 and continues her care in the Cardiology space optimizing heart failure regimens and managing complex anticoagulation patients. Her areas of interest include transitions of care, anticoagulation and medication safety.

Michael Silvey, PharmD is a Clinical Pharmacist in Ambulatory Care at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Michael graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 2017. He has an interest in psychiatric pharmacy and completed a psychiatry focus during his PharmD education at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. After graduation, he worked in a wide variety of areas of pharmacy before pursuing a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at St. Vincent Hospital.
Mike's experience includes time in specialty retail pharmacy, traditional retail pharmacy, and at a long-term care and inpatient hybrid model at University of Connecticut Health System (UCONN Health) that serviced the Connecticut state prison system. He started working at Penn Presbyterian in 2020 and currently practices in Rheumatology.

Raymond Lamore, PharmD, BCCCP

Raymond is a Critical Care Pharmacy Specialist at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC). He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at St. John’s University, where he received the University’s Excellence in Patient Care Award. He then completed his Pharmacy Practice and Critical Care residency training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Lamore currently practices in both medical and surgical intensive care. He previously served as the co-chair for the institution’s Medication Safety Committee.
Dr. Lamore is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), completed three terms as a selected member of ASHP’s New Practitioners Forum Advisory Group, and continues to be an active member of the Delaware Valley Society of Health-System Pharmacists, recently completing a term as president. He also received Pennsylvania Health-System Pharmacists’ Joe E Smith Award in recognition for service to his institution, the community, and the profession.

Her current position provides her the opportunity to rotate through the Medical ICU, Heart and Vascular ICU, Trauma and Surgical ICU, and Neurology ICU. Vanessa Prendergast, PharmD, BCCCP

Vanessa is currently a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Critical Care at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Prendergast is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). She is originally from Yardley, PA and received her Doctor of Pharmacy at South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Matthew Hinton, PharmD, BCEMP. PGY2 Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director

Matt is currently a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Emergency Medicine at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Oklahoma. He then completed a PGY1 residency at University of Florida Health - Jacksonville and PGY2 residency in Emergency Medicine Pharmacy at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Prior to joining Penn Presbyterian in 2018, he has helped establish clinical pharmacy services in multiple separate academic medical centers. Matt has served as residency program director of the PPMC Emergency Medicine PYG2 Pharmacy residency since 2024.

Amanda Binkley, PharmD, BCIDP, AAHIVP is currently an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. After graduation, she went on to complete her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency and PGY-2 Infectious Diseases residency at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Her interests within infectious diseases include antimicrobial stewardship, HIV and Hepatitis C therapy.
Current areas of practice include antimicrobial stewardship, inpatient Infectious Diseases consult service, and HIV and Hepatitis C ambulatory care. Dr. Binkley is a member of the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM), and the American Society of Hospital Pharmacist (ASHP). She currently serves as the co-chair of the AAHIVM Pennsylvania Steering Committee. Her research experiences include access to Hepatitis C therapy, medication errors associated with antiretroviral therapy, antimicrobial stewardship interventions and utilization of clinical decision support tools for antimicrobial prescribing.
Christian Gill, PharmD, BCIDP

Christian Gill, PharmD, BCIDP, is currently an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy. After graduation, he completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency and a PGY-2 Infectious Diseases residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. He also completed an infectious diseases pharmacotherapy research fellowship focused on antimicrobial pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics and microbiology research at the Center for Anti-infective Research and Development at Hartford Hospital.
Dr. Gill's current areas of practice include inpatient infectious diseases consult service, antimicrobial stewardship, and research. He is a member of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists and the American Society of Microbiology. His research interests include clinical application of antimicrobial pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, treatment of multi-drug resistant Gram-negative infections, and the use of rapid molecular diagnostics.

Karissa Chow, PharmD, BCPS

Karissa is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Internal Medicine at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Chow practices with the Internal Medicine services. She also serves as the Co-Chair for Penn Presbyterian’s Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. Unit Based Clinical Pharmacy
Marijanel “Janel” V. Alilio, PharmD

Janel is the Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist (UBCP) on CUPP 3 East, which primarily houses Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiovascular Medicine, Electrophysiology, and Internal Medicine patients. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2018. Before starting at PPMC, she was an inpatient service-line pharmacist dedicated to Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuro-Trauma, Trauma, Geriatrics, and Critical Care (Neurovascular and Neuro-Trauma) units. She also cared for Cardiology, Medicine, Med-Surg, and Transplant patients. In addition to staffing in central pharmacy, she has worked in the OR, PACU, and sterile products areas. She has professional interests in Geriatrics and Medication Safety.
Andrea Fabrizio, PharmD

Andrea is the Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist on Cupp 4 East which is the trauma floor at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She graduated from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2007 with her PharmD and has worked at PPMC for the past 20 years, 15 of them as a pharmacist. In 2015, the trauma department moved to PPMC and she took the UBCP position on 4E in September. Dr. Fabrizio is a member of Delaware Valley Society of Health-System Pharmacists (DVSHP) and is on the IV to PO conversion committee at Presbyterian. Her professional interests in trauma include analgesia, trauma brain injury, and drug management on trauma patients.
Kayla Hiryak, PharmD, BCPS

Kayla is a Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist (UBCP) on CUPP 4 South which is home to internal medicine patients from the internal medicine and family medicine teams. She earned her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Kayla completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Temple University Hospital and PGY2 in Internal Medicine at Temple University School of Pharmacy. She joined Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in 2023. Her areas of professional interest include transitions of care, respiratory disease management, addiction medicine, and geriatrics.
Jacqueline Nguyen, PharmD

Jackie is a Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist (UBCP) on the orthopedic and surgical unit at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from Temple University School of Pharmacy, completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Main Line Health and was an Internal Medicine UBCP at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She joined Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in 2025 and currently practices as the 5 East UBCP. She is a current member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and her professional interests include medication safety, transitions of care, health literacy and patient education.

Ashley is the Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist (UBCP) on CUPP 3 South, which is dedicated to Cardiovascular Medicine, Pulmonary Hypertension, Electrophysiology, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Internal Medicine. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, MA and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC). Her areas of professional interest include cardiology, anticoagulation, transitions of care and education.
