Fourth Year Family Medicine Sub-Internship Rotation
The Family Medicine sub-internship is a four-week rotation that combines inpatient and outpatient care. Each student will spend 2 weeks on the Family Medicine inpatient service (colloquially referred to as the "Ward" service), and 2 weeks rotating in the outpatient residency clinics. Students are an integral part of the inpatient team and are responsible for their own patients with supervision from the resident team and attending physician. In the clinic, students will work with residents and attendings in our urban, suburban and rural clinic settings. This suggests the broad scope of experience our Lancaster General Health Family Medicine resident physicians encounter.
Application deadline to apply: March 20th, 2026. Students to be notified on or before April 10th, 2026.
Applicants should be enrolled in a U.S., LCME-accredited or osteopathic institution. Interested students should complete the Application for Medical Student Clerkship.
