Overview and recommendations:
All applications must be submitted through the VSLO system.
- Applications for clinical rotations from May-October open in January.
- Applications for May-September that are submitted by February 15 will be assigned by early March.
- In order to maximize your chances of placement, please apply to ALL months and rotations that you would consider accepting. If your application is designated “eligible” upon review but is then declined, that is because the rotations(s)/month(s) you selected are already filled, and you can apply for other rotation(s)/month(s) if you like.
Application materials:
- Medical school transcript
- Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of recommendation, preferably from an orthopaedic (or other) surgeon (eg, faculty from general surgery clerkship)
