Dr. Erica Blanchard is our PM&R-trained Primary Care Sports Medicine fellow. She grew up outside of Boston, MA and then went to Bucknell University for her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in classics. While at Bucknell, she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and was involved in coaching the women's club soccer team. She then moved to Philadelphia for medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her PM&R residency at the University of Pennsylvania, where she served as chief resident during her 4th year. She is thrilled to be staying at UPenn for her sports medicine fellowship. Some of her clinical interests include ultrasound, electrodiagnostics, and musculoskeletal medicine. Outside of work she enjoys playing co-ed soccer, hiking with her husband and their dog (Biscuit), traveling internationally, and exploring all of the unique restaurants that Philly has to offer!
