Hobbies:  All things nerdy: Pathfinder (D&D's cooler younger sibling), boardgames, and all the fantasy/sci-fi series.   I also love to escape into nature with hiking, swimming, climbing or stargazing... but never camping.

Favorite Food: Saffron ice cream - side effects may include tears of joy and expensive tastes

Best thing about Philadelphia: The people!  While the city is incredibly walkable, overflowing in cultural amenities and abuzz with festivals, none of those would mean anything without this weird melting pot of blunt but good-hearted folks.  Whoever you consider your people, I bet they are here in droves and thriving.

Coolest thing you've ever done: Stargazing at Cherry Springs.  I crave a sense of wonder, and a night sky without light pollution and the entire milky way visible will deliver.  Reminds me that our whole planet is just a tiny dust mote adrift in an enormous sea of stars.

Describe your perfect day off:  My best days off often start with something calm like lunch in the dog park or a hike through the Wissahickon and end with something social like an escape room or boardgames with my favorite people.  Variety is my jam though, so I might mix it up for the art museum, zoo, apple picking etc.

Most memorable place you've ever been:  The Madrid subway bombing memorial.  The station was rebuilt into essentially a botanical garden and features a massive central exhibit of all the victim's final text messages (left in their original languages) spiraling up towards a central light well in the ceiling.  To convert a site of terrorism and grief into a monument to harmony and life takes a truly radical kind of hope.  Witnessing this place literally changed my worldview.
