Why I chose Penn Family Medicine for my residency: I chose Penn Family Medicine because of its strong commitment to caring for the urban-underserved in West Philadelphia and addressing health inequities impacting this community. Emphasis on mentorship and diversifying the field of medicine to better represent the community we serve. Rigorous full-spectrum family medicine training, community-medicine track, sports medicine opportunities, health equity and social justice curriculum. Lastly, the faculty and staff truly care for their residents and a family atmosphere is cultivated amongst the entire residency.
