Susan Shamimi-Noori, MD, MSEd, FSIR is a Professor of Clinical Radiology. She completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency here at Penn Medicine. Subsequently, she graduated from the Interventional Radiology Fellowship Program at Northwestern University. Her main clinical practice is in the Interventional Radiology Division at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
Dr. Shamimi-Noori has many clinical interests and is passionate about education:
- Her clinical niches include interventional oncology, women’s interventions and management of patients with Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia. From a research standpoint, she is involved in multiple clinical trials focusing on interventional oncology.
- Dr. Shamimi-Noori serves as Program Director for the Integrated and Independent Interventional Radiology Residency Programs since 2019 and Associate Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program since 2020.
- Dr. Shamimi-Noori is actively involved in mentoring the Perelman School of Medicine Interventional Radiology Interest Group. She is also a founding member and faculty advisor for the Penn Women in Radiology group.
